Ho, Ho, Ho, hello Michael my Alberta Buddy
My elves have been very busy trying to find you. My American elves said you had moved back to Canada, but we did not know where you went. Then the other day one of my elves said Santa, Matthew Day has decorated his tree in Lethbridge Alberta. Now I knew Matthew was your brother so I told my elves to see if you were there…and yes you were…Ho, Ho, Ho, this is fun trying to keep track on where you are living. I also see that your Dad lives with you boys and Emily has gone to Nova Scotia for college, and living with your brother and his wife. Now I know where you all are, including your Mom.
As you know September is the busy month where we start to put the naughty or nice list together. So far I see all your family on the nice list, but Michael I would like to see you get to the top of the nice list and I am going to give you some ideas on how to do that… Ho, Ho, Ho, I love helping children get way up on the good list, but they have to try real hard to stay there.
I have been told you shower three times a week, you go for walks to lose weight…(maybe I should try that one,) you go shopping with your Dad, you go to church and love to conduct the music. Why you even do the dishes, cook supper and look after Charley. Now I want to ask you to be very kind to people, greet them with a smile, do nice things for them. People are so much happier when everyone does nice things to each other. That is what Christmas is all about. Trying to be like Jesus and doing nice things to help each other. See what you can do for your Mom and Dad.
I also found out that you want to go to Lapland….well let me tell you a secret…the True North Pole is found in Canada…yes that is right.. it is not in Alaska or Lapland but right in the country that you live in. There is nothing wrong in going to see these other places, but at the true north pole there is no town or stores, you won’t see any people…just reindeer, maybe some elves if you look very hard, or polar bears. But it is nice and quiet here. It is cold and does snow a lot.
I will be checking the list again in December to see if you have moved up the list so until I come and see you in December for Christmas, keep on being good and being kind and nice to everyone
